Daily care is essential to ensure that your equine's belt remains clean and free from dirt and foreign particles. This is crucial for keeping your equine's coat and skin in optimal condition, allowing you to inspect for any sore or tender spots.
Before washing the belt, ensure that you have removed the manipulating element and all padding located within the pocket. The belt is constructed from breathable napped cotton canvas and webbing, making it suitable for machine washing and drying. When washing, it is recommended to use a mild, bleach-free laundry detergent.
If your equine is kept clean, we have found that a weekly wash is typically sufficient. However, in cases where daily washing is required, you can safely clean the belt as needed to maintain its cleanliness and functionality. It is essential to the longevity of the belt that it is washed regularly.
When removing the belt from your horse, release the velcro strap and reattach it one strap at a time. This helps maintain the cleanliness of the Velcro material and also prevents the straps from adhering to each other during the washing process.
